Gingermeg’s Vintage is a popular vintage clothing boutique based in the Custard Factory. Although the store was thriving through Facebook and visitors through the door the website was not getting enough traffic and was making very few sales.
The original brief way back when was to purely implement some on page SEO, to help the site appear closer to the top of google (at the time the site was on page 20+ for the main keywords) After working closely with Gingermeg’s Vintage during this time we also identified ways to help reduce the ongoing costs of running the websites and merge them into one large eCommerce site which would help retain customers and be easier and clearer to navigate.
Whilst the initial work was still underway Gingermeg’s Vintage went straight to page 1 of google for one of it’s major keywords and the rest soon followed. The website went from 15 visitors a day to 150 and the sales started to come in. After iD finished the initial good start, the baton was handed over to Ms Gingermeg’s herself to keep adding new products and keep on top of the SEO with regular blog updates.
